Virus Alert for Palms

A virus under the name of “crack” for the Liberty application is affecting all Palm and Palm-like devices (Handspring, IBM, TRG, and Symbol Technologies). This virus attempts to erase all applications on the Palm devices.

The virus can be passed via beaming or through the HotSync function and if found it will appear on the Palm as the “Liberty” application and can also appear on a PC as a file named “liberty_1_1_crack.prc”.

Palm and PC users are advised to scan all files in order to locate and remove this virus.
